As a circus performer, I lit up the stage with dazzling acts, captivating hearts and minds every single day. Lurking behind the glitz and glamour was a persistent annoyance – the notion that I needed something--or someone--outside of myself for every shred of identity.
Was I enough? Was my stability coming from outward measures? Or from inside? Were my confidence, pleasure, and freedom indisputable pillars; or were they conditional on how I was feeling that day, or what a boss or lover said?
On top of all that, a maze of taboos and limitations, those so often imposed on us as women, left me feeling like I was being trapped under a giant, suffocating, collapsing tent.
Well, to that, I say, "SCREW ‘EM," and fear not. In this thrilling new act, I’ve mastered the art of breaking free from societal constraints and I’m here to empower you to reclaim life's smallest pleasures as the breathtaking stars of your own self-discovery!
